A Time To Move is committed to taking care of all of the details involved with the entire move process, such as Downsizing, Space Planning, Packing and Unpacking, Coordinating the Move, Shipping, and Utility Changes. We are experts in reducing Relocation Stress Syndrome (RSS) which insures that on the day of your move you will be relaxed and can comfortably settle into your new home. We also provide services such as Re-Sale Preparation and Estate Liquidation to our clients or their families which includes cleaning and coordinating any repairs to help the home stand out and sell faster.
Planning the Move
Consultation: We will set up a consultation with you in your home to sort through the contents and help you decide which items fit into your new home. At that time we also determine the downsizing needs and arrange to prepare a space planning diagram for your new home.
Time Table: We will prepare a moving timetable and will take care of utility changes such as electric, water, telephone and mail delivery.
Sorting and Packing: We will set up a date to start the sorting process and pack all of your household items and clothing. We provide all of the packing materials and boxes.
Moving Day: We set up your Moving Day. We meet, direct and oversee the movers as they load and unload the truck.
Long Distance Moves: The services of A Time To Move are not just limited to local moves. We can coordinate the move for our clients who are moving closer to their family or to another part of the country. We arrange with a licensed interstate moving company to provide a written quote so that you will not have to pay any more than the quote upon delivery. We still do all the sorting and packing, donating, arranging for auction or consignment, home staging and any other services that our clients require.

Unpacking: We start unpacking immediately upon arrival at your new home. We set up the kitchen, living room, bathrooms and make the bed for you so you can sleep comfortably on your first night in your new home. We connect the telephones, televisions, lamps, and set your clocks. We hang your pictures if you are certain of where you want them. We have found from our experience that very often our clients needs to wait a few days or weeks to decide on where their pictures should go. So take your time - don't rush with this task.
Discard Boxes: We discard all of the boxes and packing materials as soon as all are unpacked.
Charity/Auction/Consignment: We arrange for charity pickups, auction or consignment of those items which are not needed.
Shipping: We will arrange for shipping of the items going to family or friends, if needed.
Decorating: We can also help you to decorate your new home. We can help you decide on a color scheme, shop for furniture and accessories and provide you with other decorating ideas.
Attention to Detail: Our staff pays special attention to your unique needs and provides all of the finishing touches.
Re-Sale Preparation: We can prepare your home to market and sell, if required, using experienced realtors and our own Re-Sale Preparation staff.
Arrange for Auto Transport or Resale: We can arrange to ship your car anywhere in the USA. If you are no longer driving your car and wish to sell it, we can make those arrangements for you through an internet management company. You can avoid the danger and hassle of meeting with strangers.
Resale Preparation
If you plan to sell or rent your home or condominium, it is important to make sure that your home stands out in the mind of a buyer or renter. At A Time To Move, we provide you with the steps necessary to make your home memorable so that you can sell it faster and get a better price.

A Time To Move can do everything from a simple cleaning of your home or condominium to a complete renovation.

A Time To Move will arrange with contractors and/or renovation experts to make repairs to your home, clean carpeting, remove wallpaper, paint, tile, re-carpet or install wood laminate to upgrade your home for an easier sale. We coordinate the project to make sure it gets done in an inexpensive and timely manner.
Estate Liquidation
In the event of the death of a family member or friend, A Time To Move can arrange to clean out their home or condominium. Whether your family or friend was in their own home or in an independent or assisted living community, we can help to liquidate the estate.

A Time To Move can handle the simplest job and the most complicated. You may need us to clean the house and dispose of the contents. If the contents are deemed valuable, A Time To Move can arrange to sell them at auction or through consignment. Their value can be determined by our honest and knowledgable experts.

A Time to Move can also take care of donating the contents of the home to the charity of the family's choice. We will arrange to meet them at the pickup location and obtain a receipt.
Fees
Fees for coordinating your moving vary depending on the size of your move and the assistance you want. We strive to offer rates and packages that will accommodate our client’s budget. Our fee does not include the services of the moving company.
